Residential Extension
Albany Road, Stanmore, 2048, NSW, Australia

Project Description
The client undertook the construction of a two-level extension to the rear of a heritage family home in Sydney's inner west. The extension comprised of a living area on the top level and a storage area on the bottom floor, providing the home additional living space and a modern look.

Residential blocks in the inner west are notoriously long and narrow, leaving minimal space for storage and loading areas. The property needed to utilise the rear lane of the property for access and storage.

The Solution
Rise Wall Super Finish (160mm Insulated) was used to create load-bearing perimeter walls on both ground and first floor levels. Due to the compact lay-flat design of the product, the need for onsite storage was significantly decreased compared to other traditional systems. The insulated panels provided superior thermal insulation, while the fibre cement finish provided a base suited for the internal finish and external render.

This product is perfect for those wanting to build structural and non-structural walls with a finished surface for both internal and external use. This system can also be used hollow as a non-structural wall system allowing services to be installed once erected.
